According to Obi, that was his position following his participation in a high-level roundtable discussion titled Nigeria in 2027 and Beyond, which was organized by the European Council on Foreign Relations at its Berlin office on Tuesday. He shared this view in a post on his official X handle later that day.
The former Governor of Anambra State expressed appreciation for what he described as the strong interest shown by participants in Nigeria’s future.
Obi affirmed during the talks that Nigeria already has all the people and resources needed to achieve prosperity, security, and global relevance.
He added, “Nigeria’s future is bright, but only if we make the deliberate choices that will move our country from consumption to production, from poverty to prosperity, and from division to unity.
Obi noted that the event assembled policymakers, diplomats, development experts, business leaders, international organization representatives, and members of the global media to deliberate on Nigeria’s future and its place in the international community.
“By embracing good governance, fiscal responsibility, and productive partnerships with the international community, we can build an economy that works for all Nigerians and restores our nation’s standing among the comity of nations.”
