Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has opened up about her ongoing health challenges, revealing that she has been experiencing severe pain and mobility difficulties for several months, a situation that has left her relying on a wheelchair.
The actress shared the update in a video posted on her Instagram page on Saturday, October 11, while celebrating her 25th birthday. She also explained that her health condition was responsible for her prolonged absence from social media.
According to Regina, what initially appeared to be a minor health issue gradually worsened, eventually affecting her ability to move freely. She disclosed that there were times when she could walk, while on other occasions, the pain made movement extremely difficult.
She explained that her condition took a turn for the worse following a children’s carnival she organised. As her symptoms intensified, she underwent several medical tests and struggled with the emotional and physical burden of the experience.
Despite the challenges, the actress expressed gratitude for the progress she has made in her recovery. She credited her faith in God as a major source of strength, expressing hope for complete healing and peace.
Regina also spoke about the emotional difficulties of depending on others for everyday activities, noting how much the experience had affected her independence.
Explaining why she decided to share her health journey publicly, she said recent improvements in her recovery encouraged her to open up to her fans and supporters.
The actress further revealed that she had moved closer to her loved ones, especially her two children, whom she described as very dear to her heart.
Regina Daniels was married to businessman and politician Ned Nwoko in 2019, and the union produced two children. Their relationship has, however, been surrounded by public attention amid reports of a contentious separation.
