ABEOKUTA, NIGERIA — Mrs. Bola Obasanjo, wife of former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo, has expressed strong optimism about the future of Nigeria, declaring that the country will experience a significant, positive turnaround despite its current challenges.
Speaking at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL) in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Mrs. Obasanjo hosted a prominent delegation from the Ogun State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) led by its chairman, Mrs Oluwaseun Boye. The high-profile courtesy visit served to climax the chapter’s energetic awareness roadshow, tagged “Owanbe Season 2 on the Road for WPRF,” ahead of Nigeria hosting the upcoming 2026 World Public Relations Forum (WPRF) in Abuja.

Addressing the public relations professionals, Mrs. Obasanjo emphasized that Nigeria remains heavily blessed with enormous human and material potential, insisting that better days are right around the corner.
“Nigeria is a land flowing with milk and honey, and things will turn around for the better for us,” Mrs. Obasanjo stated firmly during the reception, offering a message of hope and reassurance to citizens.

The Chairman of the Ogun NIPR Chapter, Mrs. Boye, explained that the advocacy campaign was intentionally structured to expand sensitization and mobilize relevant key stakeholders across Ogun State to make the upcoming global event a resounding success.
